Brunch at Loretta's, Hannover

Love Happens. And this was love at first sight.
Two weeks ago, while walking around  Maschpark I spotted a beautiful 50's original pavillion next to the road, and immediately rushed to see what it was. To my content, it was a cute restaurant, but the lack of time didn't allow me to investigate more on site. Then, back at home, I read the menu, which brought to constant day-dreaming for over two weeks. Finnally, this past Sunday, we had brunch at Loretta's. And it was perfect.

We all had the big Loretta's frühstück, oh and that is one thing I have to thank germans for, they don't use the word Brunch, as their word for breakfast (Frühstück), when used in the weekend, implies a long and copious meal. This meant, 3 different types of bread, croissants, butter, marmalade, scrambled eggs made with truffel butter, cheese, ham, salmon and the beautiful combination of buffala mozarella with sun-dried tomatos and fresh pesto. All in the right amount, and with a simplicity of flavours that I really valued. And to wash it down, some orange juice and a glass of Prosecco. The price, 10€, and I'm not joking.
All of the above was enjoyed in a lovely atmosphere, created by the beautifuly cozy decoration, the reduced and intimate proportions of the place, and the fact that it was snowing outside.

All I can add is, simplicity can be truly heartwarming.
