Ugly Attraction
Ah, Sankt Pauli, how uncomfortable your special beauty can be...
An afternoon walk back in December around the area, first the Reeperbahn part, later the northern part.

Berlin moments
Lately I find myself wanting to go back to Berlin. For me it never feels like I can get enough of it, and there will always be places I want to go back to, and new ones to discover.
My feelings towards the city change all the time, one day I find it too snobby, the next day I miss its free spirit, I think it tries too hard to achieve something unknown and at the same time its identity is fixed and straightforward.
All I know right now is that I want to go back before leaving Germany.
In order: Branderburger Tor, Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Willendorf, Wedding, Hansaviertel, Tiergarten.

January so far
January, and the new year, are really feeling like a fresh new start here in Göttingen, and now I face the remaining days of the month with excitement for the exams to be over and for the things coming up after that.
Göttingen definetiley feels like home now.

Daily Commute
My new daily commute along the Wall is probably one of my favorite things in Göttingen. The wooden houses, the Bismarckhäuschen, the canal, and the trees on each side... Right now it's a proper winter wonderland, making the walk even more special.
I already look forward to enjoying seeing the seasons change day after day.

Coffee at Marianne, Bremen
Back in early December I went to spend the day in Bremen, and although I wanted to make the most of my time and walk for the entire time around town, I spent a very relaxing hour enjoying some coffee at Marianne. The little cafe is in the cool and alternative area of Das Viertel, just in front a little square. The space is open, creating a communal atmosphere that makes you feel part of the iconic neighbourhood. The deco follows the "international hipster style" with vintage furniture and a lot of wood, but as Bremen isn't overwhelmingly full of Hipster-friendly places, one doesn't hate the style and is able to enjoy the beautiful sofas and comfy chairs. The cafe succeeds in creating a warm and cozy ambience, while being aesthetically pleasant and feeling zero pretentious.
